The SOMA edit: a collage of the 50 wellness hotels in this article

A guest arrives with more than a reservation. They bring a familiar routine, a changed time zone, and sometimes a watch or ring that has followed them through all of it. The next chapter of wellness hospitality asks what a hotel can do with that context—with the guest’s permission.

Some properties already make wearable insights part of a structured program. Others use sleep tracking to inform a stay. Many compelling wellness hotels have yet to document either. This collection separates those categories so that inspiration does not become an unsupported claim of compatibility.

Better stays begin with understanding the person who arrives. This edit brings together documented wearable programs, sleep-tracking retreats, and wellness properties worth watching.

An editorial ranking, with documented programs first. “Integration unverified” means no hotel wearable connection was established in our research. Inclusion does not imply a SOMA partnership.

When the signal
becomes part of the stay.

SHA’s partnership with WHOOP connects its Leader’s Performance Program with wearable insights and one-to-one guidance. The program includes a WHOOP device and membership, extending the experience beyond checkout.

For hospitality, the interesting question is what changes for the guest: the rhythm of a day, the timing of an offer, or the support that continues at home.

How to read this edit

Wearable programs. Publicly documented use of WHOOP within specific hotel programs. This does not establish support for every device or every booking.

Sleep tracking. Sleep-focused programs that may use hotel-provided sensors. These are distinct from connecting a guest’s existing wearable account.

Properties to watch. Wellness destinations selected for their broader offering; wearable integration remains unverified. Rank reflects editorial fit, not a measured quality score. Research collected 9 September 2026.
